#6: Dirty Harriette

Day 48

Even more scandals break out after Maxine is allowed to stay on the island. Apparently, part of staying was part of a plan to get rid of another Shimata tribe member.

"It seems that Harriette had been taking her role as unofficial leader of our tribe a bit too far," says Maxine. "At first, she was cool, but then it got to a point where she wouldn't listen to anyone else."

"We all have good ideas on how to stevive," says Rachel, "but Harriette thought she knew everything because she feels she has dealt with staying alive from Steve the most."

Due to Harriette's annoying commands, Rachel and Laura bonded with Maxine during the process of voting either off her Eddie, and said they would convince the others that Eddie should be voted off to keep her on to form an alliance.

"It feels great in the position I was in a few days ago," says Maxine. "The Murtagh tribe formed an alliance with me in case we merge tribes, and the Shimata tribe kept me on to help them get rid of Harriette."

And they were serious about it, too. Without letting Harriette aware, the other members of the Shimata tribe purposely rigged to lost the next immunity challenge so they would be allowed to vote one member off.

Harriette seemed a little disturbed that they lost so bad. "We are usually doing well during the immunity challenges. In this one, we weren't acting like a team. I didn't understand that."

But Harriette understood pretty well what was going on when a member of the Murtagh tribe, who will remain nameless, clued Harriette in on what her tribe was doing.

"Someone from the other tribe overheard a conversation between Rachel, Laura, and Maxine," says Harriette. "Apparently, mutiny is going on. It doesn't just upset me that they would do this, but now I'm in a position where I can do absolutely nothing about it."

Absolutely nothing was right. Harriette tried to call foul on her team sabotaging her event, but there was no rules against that. The tribe has spoken. Harriette has been voted off.

Now the remaining members, who realize the tribes will merge after one more person is voted off, wants to find out who leaked the information.

"Somebody's been spying on our tribe," says Laura, "and they almost ruined our plan to get rid of Harriette. It made it a lot harder since she knew. If we find out who has been spying on us, be rest assured they won't be on the island for much longer."

Harriette Harriette's Final Comments
"I have nothing to say about my tribe. We were doing so well in only losing Judy and getting Maxine to stay. We girls could have won this thing. But they decided to let petty differences tear us apart. They think they did the right thing by turning against me, but they'll do it again. They'll soon turn against each other."
