#3: Judy Judy Judy

Day 15

After the eviction of Richie from the first vote-off, Judy soon became very troubled after overhearing a conversation between Harriette and Rachel.

"The jist of the conversation was that Harriette had found out one of the strategies of the Murtagh tribe was to get rid of the youngest member first to not slow them down. The two were proposing our tribe to do the same," says Judy.

Harriette and Rachel deny having this conversation. In addition, Harriette, the leader of the Shimata tribe, became very upset at Judy for these accusations. "She is spreading rumors about us that just aren't true, and worst yet, she didn't even come to us about it first."

Harriette did speak the truth on that matter. Instead of confronting Harriette, Judy talked to Laura and Maxine about it, hoping to get the two on her side and vote Harriette off if they lose an immunity challenge. But Harriette soon came to Laura and Maxine and eoncouraged them to think that Judy was indeed spreading rumors and that she should be the first to go if it came time to vote.

"Judy is just very bitter," says Harriette. "She's all upset because we didn't even consider her to be a daughter for a good four years or so, but that's not our fault. We just thought the storylines of the other children were more interesting."

"Judy had always been around," says Laura. "It's just so many things happen to all of us and not many things happened to her. One week, for example, Steve created Stefan, Richie met 3J, Dad went into Steve's transformation chamber, and Eddie helped Waldo get a new job at Mighty Weenie. Judy just went to school, came home, and did her homework. Not exactly prime time material."

The rumor spreading ran even more rampant when the Shimata tribe lost the latest immunity challenge. In the challenge, both tribes had to watch 10 second clips from Family Matters episodes and guess which episodes they were. Poor Judy was not good at this at all since she was not in most of the ones selected and easily brought the Shimata tribe to failure. None of the other tribe members were pleased.

"It's all starting to make sense why Judy wanted us to side with her," says Maxine. "We knew this was the immunity challenge days before and had the opportunity to remember what we done on the series. But since Judy wasn't in most of them, she knew she was at the most disadvantage, so she wanted to side with her so not to vote her off when she totally failed."

But Maxine played even more dirty pool when she "promised" to agree with Judy and vote off Harriette. "She'll never know if I lied or not," said Maxine. "After all, they are secret ballots."

But Harriette didn't realize that Maxine was playing a game and heard the rumor of her alliance with Judy. "I'm not going to be like Maxine and sway others to vote my way," says Harriette, "but if I know Maxine is voting against me, I'm definitely voting against her."

When it came time to vote, Judy felt very pleased that she still had a chance to stay on the island. "I'm voting Harriette, I got Maxine to vote Harriette, and my know my big sister would never vote me off. I'm going to be fine."

Judy was a little too confident. As Maxine said, she lied and voted against Judy, and sweet big sister Laura did as well. Rachel's vote against Judy made it enough. The tribe has spoken. Judy has been voted off of the island.

Maxine became shocked when she had a vote, but Harriette discussed with Max that she heard the rumor. Maxine explained what she was doing, and Harriette deeply apologized. They were on good terms again. "I'm not one for playing dirty pool," says Harriette, "but I guess what it boils down to is that I shouldn't listen to rumors. I should have asked Maxine about it. I was as bad as Judy, and after seeing what happened to her as a result, I know I'll never make that mistake again."

What Judy will also never know is that it was Rachel's idea to vote off the youngest, and Harriette actually disagreed with her, stating that if Judy proved herself to be a stevivor, she should stay. However, Judy stopped eavesdropping and left before hearing that part of the conversation.

Richie's Final Comments:
"I can't believe my own family voted against me, and it hurts me that Maxine, who I trusted like a sister, betrayed me so. If Maxine was ever in a short-lived sitcom, and needed the ratings badly, I would never even turn on the TV. I will let her suffer."
