Family Matters Spin-Offs Showcase

Family Matters was itself a spin-off of Perfect Strangers, where we found out about the family of Harriette Winslow, the elevator operator that worked at the Chronicle with Larry and Balki. Now, with so many characters that we found in Family Matters, wouldn't it be possible to come up with a lot of possible Family Matters spin-offs? Okay, maybe not, but if we could, it would go a little something like this...

NOTE: These shows are FAKE and do not exist. Do not ask for episode guides.

Possible Family Matters Spin-Offs...

  • "Chicago Beat"
In this cop drama, Carl quits his desk job at the police department and decides to go back on the streets to work alongside his son, Eddie, who has become the newest officer on the beat. Their method of busting the bad guys are as different as night and day. Carl is very reserved, planning his next move, while Eddie is a fast gun who shoots now and asks questions. They must settle their differences each week as Captain Savage gives them new assignemnts to work on in order to keep Chicago safe and form a closer bond as father and son.
"Chicago Beat" airs Tuesday nights 9:00pm/8:00pm Central, on ABC, followed by "NYPD Blue".

  • "Sisters Of The City"
In this feminine drama set in Chicago, "Sisters Of The City" follows the lives of sisters Harriette Winslow and Rachel Crawford. Harriette struggles as a housewife who has to deal with her children growing up and a husband more obsessed with throwing a nerd out of his house than to her. Rachel struggles as a single parent who has to cope with the loss of her husband and being in a career that is so time-consuming, it distances her from her son, Richie. Expect a lot of crying on this series.
"Sisters Of The City" airs Monday nights at 8:00pm/7:00pm Central on Lifetime.

  • "Cooking With Mother Winslow"
Look out, Ainsley. Move over, Emeril. Watch out, Iron Chefs. If there is one thing Estelle Winslow knows how to do is cook, and now she is going to share her secret recipes to the world. Look for special segments like answering fanmail and Stefan dropping by showing how to be cool in the kitchen. Plus, Mother Winslow even does some of her wild stunts like skydiving and motorcycle riding while you wait for your food to be ready. It's one wild show that can't be missed.
"Cooking With Mother Winslow" airs weekdays at 10:30am/9:30am Central on The Food Network.

  • "Chillin' With The E-Man"
Eddie has always been a man with vocal talents, and now he brings those talents to you on weeknights, or as he likes to call it, "E-Nights". He brings his R&B, jazz, and soul songs to use each week with special guests, candid conversations, storytelling, and lots of good music that Eddie says will guarantee to have your woman kissing you before the first commercial break. If you want to groove, then this is the show for you.
"Chillin' With The E-Man" airs weeknights at 11:00pm/10:00pm Central on BET On Jazz.

  • "Win Waldo Faldo's Money"
Can anyone be dumber than Waldo? That's what this game show will try to prove. Contestants will compete against Waldo to prove that he is not the only one out there that can say the weirdest things. In this quiz show, the person with the least amount of points win, and gets a chance to win Waldo's money by answering less questions than he does. So far, winning hasn't been too hard on this show.
"Win Waldo Faldo's Money" airs Tuesday afternoons at 3:00pm/2:00pm Central on The Game Show Network.

  • "Greta"
Got a problem that you just can't solve on your own? Then don't. Bring it to television and let you problems be solved by Greta McClure. Sharing the spotlight with Oprah, Jenny, and Latifah, Greta tries to solve problems with young women who can't seem to save their boyfriends from annoying nerds and southern belles.
"Greta" airs weekdays at noon/11:00am Central on ABC after "The View".

  • "Laura And Myra"
What happens when two girls from entirely different backgrounds try to room together. Still in college, Laura Winslow, a down-to-earth, realistic being, and Myra Monkhouse, a bubbly, hyperactive young woman with a nieve look on life, try to do the unthinkable: be roommates. See their crazy antics when they drop their boyfriends Steve and Stefan and face the challenges of school, men, dating, and living together in this wacky "Living Single" type risque sitcom. Looks for regular appearances by Laura's best friend, Maxine, and Myra's best friend, Myrtle Urkel.
"Laura And Myra" airs Monday nights at 9:30pm/8:30pm Central on UPN.

  • "The Jaleel White Variety Hour"
Jaleel White is known for playing multiple characters such as Steve, Stefan, Myrtle, OGD, Bruce Lee, Elvis, and more. Now, he will take that to new extremes by hosting and starring the Jaleel White Variety Hour. This variety show will feature opening monologues by Jaleel White, sketches with Jaleel White, his new cast, and a special celebrity guest, and a performance by a special musical guest. Look for all of Jaleel's creations plus a slew of new characters that he portrays. But remember, this is a late night variety show, so don't expect it to be the same Jaleel White you remember.
"The Jaleel White Variety Hour" airs Thursday nights at 10:00pm/9:00pm Central on Comedy Central.

  • "Family Matters: The Animated Series"
If Sabrina The Teenage Witch can become a cartoon, why not the cast of Family Matters? Well, now they are. Going back to the past a little, "Family Matters: The Animated Series" takes a look at 8-year-old Steve Urkel and his adventures with the Winslow family, including younger versions of Eddie, Laura, Myra, Waldo, and Myrtle. Richie is still a baby and even little Judy is back as a kindergartener. Each week, Urkel bugs his Winslow neighbors and goes on wild adventures with the help of his wacky inventions. But if he ever in a jam, all he has to do is drink some Boss Sauce to temporarily turn into Stefan Urquelle or drink some Bruce Juice to temporarily turn into Bruce Lee Urkel.
"Family Matters: The Animated Series" airs Saturday mornings at 9:00am/8:00am Central on Cartoon Network.
