False. Sometimes when people have tried to report that it was Michelle Thomas who passed away, they think it's the girl who played Laura which has caused confusion. Kellie Williams is alive and well and has worked on a couple of movies since Family Matters ended. Again, it is Michelle Thomas who played Myra that died of cancer.

False. Bryton McClure appeared in a Pepsi commercial with Michael Jackson mimicking his moves (which gained him popularity and made him noticed for the role of Richie). However, Bryton is no way related to the King of Pop... he can just dance like him.
True of False: When JoMarie Payton chose to leave the show, there was going to be an episode of Carl and Harriette getting a divorce?
False. As Reginald VelJohnson mentions in an article, the producers did not want to do a divorce show because of the good nature of the series and with it pretty much being over. Instead, the character of Harriette was played by another actress, Judyann Elder.
