Season 3 Episodes
- "Boom!"
Steve saves a monkey from the school lab when they plan to 86 him, while
Carl might gets 86ed himself when his treadmill has a bomb attached. This is
the first episode where Shawn Harrison becomes a regular cast member, turning
from Willie's evil sidekick to Eddie's best friend. Only on television.
- "Brain Over Brawn"
Steve competes against a major class athlete for his love Laura. Laura is
surprised to see Steve act like this... without his brain. So Urkel, and a jet

was a cross-over episode between Family Matters and Step by Step (The two series
that crossed over to CBS before being cancelled).
- "The Show Must Go On"
Laura is Juliet in a school play, but her Romeo has caught deathly ill, so
looks like the understudy has to be Romeo. Who is the understudy? Do you need
to ask? Steve looks forward to kissing Laura, as well as crashing down the
stage and causing drama teacher Ms. Steuben to change to Home Ec.
- "Words Hurt"

newspaper. A hypnotist looks at his past to find out the reason for hitting
Carl was because he yelled at him all the time.

Steve Urkel Undercover? he may be no Malik Yoba, but when the Dragons, a
vicious gang beats up Eddie, vadalizes Rachel's Place, and flirts wrongly at
Laura, Steve goes undercover as a thug to prove they're the culprits. This
episode is actually pretty funny, except for the scene when Eddie is shown beat
up. Here's a Family Matters fact for you. J. Lamont Pope played the leader of
the gang in this episode, yet he also was in the army in another episode and
soon became one of Laura's boyfriends, Curtis. Next to Jaleel, he's played
quite a few different characters on the show himself.
-
"The Love God"
Steve teaches an "easy" girl named Vonda for Eddie. And when Vonda passes a
test thanks to Steve, she wants to really thank him... if you know what I mean.
Unfortunately, silly Steve doesn't take the chance and instead teaches Vonda to
respect herself and they become good friends and Eddie gets zip. Look for Carl
to dress in drag in this episode.
-
"Old And Alone"

with a guy and doesn't talk to the family. After the stern word from Harriette
that she was developing a bad habit, Laura dreams of growing up and old woman

some reason, and when old Laura confronts old Steve and asks him out on a date,
she finds out he's married to a very attractive woman.
- "A Pair Of Ladies"

Urkel, and then Urkel comes back strong and takes everything from Lieu,
submitting him to tears.
-
"Choir Trouble"
Rachel is the new choir director at church at the same time the Winslows try
to get Steve into religion, something his parents never did. But his hope is
almost shattered when Rachel becomes power hungry over the choir and kicks Steve
out for his "unique" singing voice. Rachel is then taught that it's not how you
sing but what you are singing about in this field, and good spirits prevail.
- "A Test Of Friendship"

say HIS new porsche? Mistaken on that one, because the guys were thrown in
jail for a stolen car and Harriette really scolds Clarence.
-
"Brown Bombshell"
What's worse, learning history or meeting a prison pen pal? This episode
gives a dose of both when Mother Winslow tries teaching the children about their

stars as Elmareeta Puckerwood.

Laura runs to student council president, and her opponent, Cassie Lynn, tries using a
scandalous picture of Steve catching Laura from falling to make gossip, that is,
until Steve plants a kiss on Cassie Lynn. Meanwhile, Carl is in a funk because
Harriette is chosen to be neighborhood watch leader even though it was his idea
to have the watch.
- "Love And Kisses"
Johnny Gil guest stars as himself when Steve uses his baseballl cards to
convince him to sing for Laura, all in return for a kiss which he misses from
fainting. Meanwhile, Carl and Harriette try to go on a second honeymoon and
have fun, but a wall is missing from their cabin.
-
"Stop, In The Name Of Love"
Steve asks Laura to give Waldo some compliments so that he won't feel bad
about being hurt by women, but it turns out he starts to like her and asks her
out. And she says yes! For those that did not see this episode, you have to
see Laura and Waldo actually go out on a date, and see how Steve reacted to the
whole thing.
- "The Urkel Who Came To Dinner"

his part, but instead he ruins the lives of everyone in the house... his first

Cross-over Episode
- Step By Step: "The Dance"

feminine side except that a boy that she wants to go with will not
ask her out. Steve Urkel, who crashlands at their home after the episode
"Brain Over Brawn" knows what it feels like to be not asked and
agrees to be her date. After seeing her dressed up and doing The Urkel
Dance, the boy finally gets the guts to ask her out.
