Season 2 Episodes
- "Rachel's Place"
When Steve accidentally burns down the teens' hang-out restaurant, Rachel
jumps at the oppurtunity to own a new restaurant in its place. This is the
first episode where Jaleel White became an official part of the cast. This is
also the episode where little Richie 'mysteriously' grows from a baby to a
little kid.
- "Torn Between Two Lovers"
Rachel dates her loan-officer names Steve, the same name of the nerd hero.
So when he overhears Rachel talking about how she loves Steve the man, he thinks
she's talking about him, Steve the nerd!
- "Marriage 101"
Laura's class gets paired up into married couples for a project, and take a
wild guess who she is paired with! While Laura is mad at Urkel being too
romantic, Harriette gets upset at Carl for not being romantic enough.
- "Flashpants"
Carl is on the dance floor, trying to show off one of his rival co-workers,
no matter how bad his back is killing him.
- "The Crash Course"
Without a driver's licence, Eddie drives the family car to impress his
girlfriend, only to smash it into the living room! When Carl goes crazy, Steve
takes the blame.
- "Boxcar Blues"
Carl and Steve get some time to learn about each other... when they end up
trapped in a train-wagon with a bunch of cows. Only weird things can happen
when Carl takes Urkel on patrol with him.
- "Dog Day Halloween"
Laura and Steve are trapped in a bank Halloween night by a robber. Carl
saves the day, but Steve is sad that he chickened out.
- "Cousin Urkel"
Steve is away for two weeks... just in time for the Winslows to be invaded
by his country cousin, Myrtle Urkel, also played by Jaleel White. Laura and
Eddie get in big trouble when they use Steve and Myrtle to play pranks on each
other.
- "Dedicated To The One I Love"
Laura hooks Steve up with a nerdy girl to get him off his back and it
works... a little too well. Urkel gives this little lady so much happiness, she
changes by night to a 12 year old beauty queen for Steve, and Laura gets a
little jealous. Meanwhile, an unsuspecting Carl and a suspecting Harriette are
trying to do with the new neighbor who wants to borrow a little bit more than
sugar from Harriette... she also wants her husband!
- "The Science Project"
Laura uses Steve to make her a science project, but after stern warning from
Mother Winslow that using Steve is wrong, Laura has a dream that Steve made her
an atom bomb. Too bad he triggered it off. Check out the "Max Headroom" spoof
in this episode.
- "Requiem For An Urkel"
Willie (Larenz Tate) is forcing the guys in school not to go out with Laura,
so Steve fights Willie for his woman in the boxing ring. Carl tries to teach
him how to fight. Watch out for the jab and check out the Urkel Shuffle!
- "Fast Eddie Winslow"
Eddie gets in way over his head when he is hustled in a pool hall. Steve
tries to help him out until the hustlers break his glasses, so it's up to Carl
and Mother Winslow to sink the 8 ball.
- "Have Yourself A Merry Winslow Christmas"
With the Urkel parents away, Steve spends Christmas with the Winslows and
gives them laughs by still believing in Santa Claus. But when Freddy Teddy, a
teddy bear Rachel could not find Richie, is under the tree, who put it there?
Well, besides a prop director.
- "Ice Station Winslow"
Carl, Eddie, and Steve go ice fishing and what starts out as basic Urkel
hijinks end up in a desperate attempt to save Carl's life.
- "Son"
Carl and Eddie have a huge fight and Eddie decides to move out. Only
Harriette's talks of their deep past can help them sort out their differences.
-
"Do The Right Thing"
Carl must decide to report a lost and very expensive watch or keep it while
Steve must decide to tutor a basketball player with affections for Laura right
or wrong. And remember, this city is packed with poopsies!
- "High Hopes"
Carl and Steve go in a hot-air balloon to help overcome Carl's fear of
heights, which don't get fixed until Steve almost falls out of the balloon.
-
"Life Of The Party"
Maxine has an outstanding party until Willie and Waldo crash with booze.
Tricking Urkel to drink some of it, Rachel has to save Steve win he finds
himself hanging on for dear life off the edge of the building. This is the
episode that featured, you guessed it... the URKEL DANCE!!!
- "Busted"
Eddie needs some quick cash, so Steve takes him to a hidden casino inside
Ma's Bakery. Steve is on a winning streak and gets more than enough money for
Eddie. Too bad the cops showed up.
-
"Fight The Good Fight"
A very touching episode has racism collide in the student body when Laura
wants Black History taught in her school. Most sitcoms usually have some mainly
dramatic episodes and I think this was one of Family Matters' bests.
- "Taking Credit"
Carl allows Lieu. Mertall to get the credit of a bust that he did himself so
that Mertall can get a promotion, while Eddie wrongly takes the credit of
writing a short story that Steve actually wrote. Rachel tells the story of the
two to Richie and Judy in a tale of when to take credit and when it doesn't
matter.
- "Finding The Words"
Paul Winfield guest stars in another dramatic episode, portraying Harriette
and Rachel's father who abandoned them many years ago. Rachel accepts him with
open arms but Harriette isn't so quick to bring him back in her life.
Steve and Lieu. Mertall have a lot in common, they can't get the women they
want, Laura and Rachel.
- "I Should Have Done Something"
Carl is upset on the one-year anniversary of the night he saw an innocent
hostage killed, feeling it was his fault.
- "The Good, The Bad, And The Urkel"
Carl's anger at the Urkels and dozing off in the middle of a western causes
him to dream about being a sheriff in the Old West. Harriette's a school marm,
Rachel's a floozy, and Carl has to be careful of Two Gun Urkel.
Cross-over Episode
- Full House: "Stephanie Gets Framed"
Stephane finds out that she has to wear glasses and thinks the kids
at school are going to laugh at her. Steve Urkel drops by and tells her
to make them laugh with her, not at her, but it causes a disturbance
when she makes a joke of herself during class reading time.
